Where can I get my flu shot?
In-network pharmacies
Drop by any in-network pharmacy location, such as Albertsons, Costco, Fred Meyer, Kroger, QFC, Rite Aid, Safeway, Target, or Walgreens (to name a few).
Your doctor’s office
If your doctor is in-network, your seasonal flu shot is covered. Office visit copay may apply.
County health departments
County health departments typically offer flu vaccines, too. Simply show your PacificSource member ID.
Employer flu-shot clinics
If you get your health coverage through your employer, ask your benefits manager if an on-site flu-shot clinic is being planned.
What are my benefits?
PacificSource health plans include seasonal flu vaccine coverage at no cost to members at in-network pharmacies. If you receive your flu shot at your doctor’s office, an office visit copay may apply. Check your immunization benefit for high-dose flu shots, and flu nasal mist.
For your annual flu shot, all you need is your PacificSource member ID. And in most cases, no appointment is needed.
Your PacificSource member handbook or policy provides coverage details specific to your plan. This information is also available any time through our secure member portal, InTouch for Members. You'll need to register when you use InTouch for the first time.
Why a flu shot is a great idea
Flu vaccines are safe and effective
The flu vaccine has gone through the FDA’s thorough approval process. It’s proven to be safe and effective. New flu vaccines are released every year to keep up with rapidly adapting flu viruses.
Protect friends and family
By getting the vaccine, you’re also protecting the people you know and care about—parents, coworkers, and neighbors. People most at risk include children, pregnant women, those over 60, and those with a weakened immune system.
Reduce your flu risk by more than half
Studies show that healthy adults can cut their flu risk by up to 60% by getting a vaccination.
Don’t let the flu foil your fun!
Having the flu not only feels awful—it also means missing out on time with loved ones, travel, and other activities you enjoy.
Spare yourself serious flu-related issues
For many people, the flu is similar to a bad cold. But flu can often be much more serious. Post-flu complications are a particular risk for people with asthma, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and compromised immune-response system.
Save money
While the flu shot is free for most members, getting the flu can be costly. In addition to the price of over-the-counter remedies or seeing a doctor, you might need to dip into paid time off (or worse, lose wages until you recover).
