PacificSource Statement on Recent Changes to Healthcare
(SPRINGFIELD, Ore.) October 13, 2017— The President has issued an executive order calling for changes in the individual and group markets and has signaled that the federal government will discontinue cost sharing reduction payments.
While the full implications of these actions on the insurance market may not be understood for some time, we will work with the insurance divisions in each state to assess any potential immediate impact on our members and adjust our approach as necessary. As more information becomes available, we will determine our appropriate response, guided by our mission and values and our commitment to sound business practices.
In the interim, it is important to remind people that currently have insurance to continue to pay their premiums and get the care that they need. All benefits and current cost sharing payments will remain the same through the end of this year.
